The Bucks have already shown they can overcome a 2-0 series deficit when they won four of five against the Nets in the Eastern Conference Semis. The Game 3 win was the Bucks first NBA Finals victory in nearly 50 years, and they’ll look to even the series Wednesday night. Last game’s MVP scored just 10 points on just 3 of 14 shooting. Booker's shooting struggles returnĬhris Paul led the Suns in scoring with 19 points shooting over 50% from the field, but Devin Booker was locked down all game long. Middleton provided some solid production scoring 18 and grabbing seven boards. Jrue Holiday stepped up in the Bucks most important game of the season scoring 21 points and dishing out nine rebounds. In the return to his home court, the Greek went to the line 17 times hitting 13 of his attempts from the stripe and finishing his night with 41 and 13. Giannis with back-to-back 40 point gamesįor the second straight game Giannis scored 40 or more points and more than 10 rebounds, making him the only the third player in NBA history to post those numbers in back to back Finals games. Milwaukee extended the lead to 25 in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter and cruised to victory in blowout fashion. The Bucks double digit advantage was cut to six midway through the quarter, bur rhe comeback hopes were squashed when Giannis and Holiday spurred Milwaukee to a 16-0 run. The home side responded by going on a 30-9 run led by Giannis and Middleton to end the half with a 15 point advantage heading into the third quarter.Ĭam Johnson and Mikal Bridges brought the Suns back into the game with some fantastic shooting coming out of the break. ![]() Huge second quarter brings Bucks back to lifeĪfter an even first quarter, Phoenix went on an 8-0 run to jump out to a six point lead, but Milwaukee punched back after a Mike Budenholzer timeout. Holiday started hot and Giannis got his busy night going early on. While Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday were instrumental in the win tonight, Giannis looked unstoppable despite hyperextending his knee less than two weeks ago.ĭeandre Ayton kept the Suns level with the Bucks through the first quarter scoring 12 points in the first 12 minutes. There was a lot of chatter pregame about the other Bucks stars stepping up and helping the Greek after Thursday’s loss in Phoenix.
